My best friend has a layover from Vancouver to Germany and we have plans to have brunch, so I wouldnt want you guys to be there waiting for me. Next Game, April 18 2010

So for this weekend, I am going to run the game for Jordan and Devand , with some slight story editing to make it cohesive. So stay tuned for that. Also for Adam and Kyle, I woud like to run a game for you to some time this week when your both avalible.

And the story summary should be up by Staurday night/Sunday morning. It wont really matter for the Sunday guys but I’ll try to get it up asap.

We didnt start the fire...

So the plan is that Ozdin and the pirate go light a fire to distract, and Rittle goes to steal the horses, and he opens the stable doors to signal Davian and Sai to come help them get out of town. Kay… go!

So Will and Ozdin go sneaky sneaky into the woods with fire building supplies. He builds the most amazing ship shaped fire that creation has ever seen, he has made the unconcord sun proud. The dragon blooded spot this and one of the two leaves with the stable master to go check out this awesome fire, cause its awesome.

And Rittle heads in to town, well disguised as one of the drunk townsmen from your first night in town. And he sneaks into the stable, with the one dragon blooded still there. He sneaks in and backstabs the dragon blooded and then Davain and Sai some running in to town to help Rittle take out this dragon blooded, tawnia comes too. Mass comate ensues and is really rather dull. You roll dice, you hit the dragon blooded and she hits you back… carrying on. You tie her up but you don’t kill her. Tawnia marks her wrists.

You loot her body and you gather: 1 x Jade Reaver Dikalve, 1 x Dragon Blooded Armour.

Trumps can be heard in the distance as the circle departs the town of Thorpsvile. Ozdin is fighting the remainder of the DB’s alone and a ( I shit you not…) 40 minute conversation is had before deciding that Ozdin is not worth it. And then more dice are rolled and people failed compassion checks and are suddenly morally obligated. So we go riding into battle and see the stable master in a mangled heap of death, while the DB has their flaming reaver buried up to the hilt in Ozdins abdomen. Ozdin seem to have an inner sun burning out from the previously silver iridescent tattoos covering his really yummie torso… More fighting ensues…. And you kill the DB

There are 4 more Dragonblooded approaching, as Ozdin removed the sword from his body. He then preps himself to fight. His body contorts and grows in size, he becomes taller and more muscular, his face becomes rigid and develops hair as you can hear bones crunch and morph. He becomes what is best described as a were-bear. Tawnia wants the circle to depart, believing that they cant take much more and she will stand ground with Ozdin to put as much space between the DB’s and the young circle. She tell you to head towards the town by the river. However, Davian wont let her stay and forces Tawnia to come with them.

We have 5 people,2 horses, an mule and a cart…We’re not moving to fast. Oh and you animas are all glowy.

And we leave off with the sound of hoof beets behind you.

Booze, bodies and bears

So every one earned 5 exp from the game on March 1st.

So we last left our circle of heroes talking to the old lady, with Rittle trying to calm her down.

She explains that’s she’s still furious that the town and Ozdin conspired to kill her son. It was by Ozdins hand that her son died. Rittle, being the interrogator of the group manages to get some cohesive information from the old lady about Ozdin, that he is special and revered by gods, which gives him free reign over the town. She believes that Ozdin was jealous of her son because she thinks he too was chosen. Her sons name is Rowko.

She tells you that she has no idea where Ozdin lives. Her name is Lynette. She tells Davian that he was murdered about 6 moons ago, he was 17 years old.

Rittle decides that the nice chat is done and asks Lynette if she is poisoning the town, she has no idea what he’s talking about. He tells her that the town is blaming her for some sort of poisoning. She doesn’t seem surprised; they’re always blaming her for something. We find out that her husband died some time ago and that Ozdin is not the father of Rowko. As she’s talking about this most of the group sees that the fire inside her house has calmed down and changed to a yellowy green. William gets caught picking his nose. The more she talks about her son the greener the fire becomes. She’s asked about the fire and the forest and various other things and she seems mostly oblivious to these things.

Finally the muscle hunk of the group bates his eyelashes to get them into Lynette’s home. As you enter the house you are all taken aback by hoe big and nice he house is. It has even got 2 floors. Absolutely nothing like it did out side. She immediately gathers cups for tea for her guests. As she’s doing this every one notices that the fire is COMPLETELY NORMAL.

The party asks around her house and how it’s not the same inside as it is out and she, again, is totally oblivious. Fucking women eh? Sai is able to determine that the fire inside is in no way connected to the fire seen outside. She continues to gush about how much she misses her son and how much she hates the town and Ozdin. She continues to serve tea and tell stories about her son. She talks about how the land hasn’t changed a whole lot in the past 6 months. She seems unaffected by what ever has been happening to the town.

So the topic of you guys striking revenge on the people that hurt her is finally broached and you guys agree to bring her the head stone of her son, to be placed in the family cemetery. Lynette is THRILLED!! So the evening turns to night and you guys set up camp in her yard and she makes you boys’ dinner.

During the night you guys conduct a though and quiet inspection of her house. Both inside and out. But at your skill level it turns up nothing substantial.

So morning comes and Lynette brings you boy’s dinner and some warm clothes fro you guys as well. They are heavy cloaks, with a soak of 3 lethal and 4 bashing, mobility of -1 and a fatigue cost of 2. Found on pg 375. Soon after you guys head back to the village. As you brave the forest again to head back to civilization the path seems to have changed and is remarkably easier to navigate. Once you guys are headed the right way it’s only a matter of hours before your back in Thorpsvile.

When you arrive you immediately ask around about when Ozdin will be returning, and you get the same answers as before, in a bout a week’s time. You also report that you were unable to find the witch, how ever you did find some schanzzy new clothes… fancy that. So the idea of going to the graveyard to get the tombstone and possibly rob the grave comes up but it’s decided that maybe that’s not a good idea for the day, a simple scouting mission of the graveyard suffices.

The grave yard is simple and has some recent traffic showing on the road, supposedly from the recent deaths’ in the town. Rowkos gravestone is finable, along with other graves. But there’s no mention of Ozdins offspring being buried here.

So time is killed in the local tavern, with shots of rum counting the hours. The pirate William goes shot for shot with the sales extraordinaire Sai.

As this is happening Tawnia, Davian and Rittle take a walk, and by doing so they missed the projectile vomit that came from Sai. How a man that small got that kind of distance know one will ever know… Maybe that’s why he’s exalted… ewww.

They are walking just out side of town about 20 or 30 feet in the tree line around the town. And Tawnia goes into more depth about what in general it means to be exalted.

Mean while Sai has passed out from intoxication and William uses him to mop up the vomit and puts him in the bathtub to sleep it off.

So the stable master had to go to another town, closer to the river, taking all but the pack horse with him.

A little while later the party gets back together and they make a group effort in cleaning Sai up. It’s difficult to do with the amount that Sai is dry heaving. After about 6 hours Sai is still passed out and curled over while William is feeling a lot better. The circle is headed to the graveyard. They grab the headstone and head into the forest to see Lynette again.

The trees in the forest seem different then they did last time they went through, but they use the same tactics as last time, smelling and jumping their way through the forest maze, this time it only took them about 4 hours to get to Lynette’s door. She is sooo happy that you brought her the head stone she starts crying and she can’t express how thankful she is. Together you walk to the family cemetery where all the men of the family are buried. Then we return to her house where Sai gets a much needed nap. Any that’s when Lynette tells the story of how Rowko died. And then you guys head back to town. As your leaving you notice that the state of her house is remarkably better.

So deciding that there was about 2 days till Ozdins arrival they decided to looking around the town and talk to the locals. Starting at the bar keep. Rittle and Davian think it’s time for the hard questions and are finally able to get some useful information out of the barkeep. He tells them that they should have mind their own business, and the man that was there when Rowko was killed was the stable master, who is currently in another town closer to the river. Sai, knowing that the inn keep isn’t telling them everything puts the proverbial knuckles to him and find out that the man who Ozdins was fighting with when Rowko was killed was a member of the Scarlet Empire, he was trying to make him leave. No one has ever really spoken to Ozdin about it. Then Sai, unable to abide his curiosity any longer asks, “When has Ozdin got so many children?” Williams shocked but how forthright Sai is spits out his drink…At Sai. The barkeep stutters but responds”it might have some ting to do with his large muscles”.

Scratch that, you’re not talking to the barkeep; you were talking to the grocer.

So after the length of the stable keeper is discussed the pirate and the sales men attempt to get shit faced again. Which almost causes a bar fight between the two brothers. “Keen sense mother fucker” followed by “tea bag squat”….Moving on.

After that, the guys go to the graveyard to see if they can excavate Rowkos grave. Its do able but after MUCH discussion you decided to wait to excavate the grave until after Ozdins arrival. While outside Davian gets the sensation that he’s being watched but no one can see anything out of the ordinary. The party makes it to the stable and makes a group effort to fix a wagon for the excavation of the body. And then the party decided to postpone the excavation until after Ozdins arrival. You all spend much of the next day training, practicing and learning from one another.

Durring dinner on the seventh night you hear a few horse come thundering into town. On top the horses are the stable keeper and two dragon blooded. They head directly to the stable and close the door behind them. Listening in to the conversation you can head them discussing Ozdin, Lynnette and your party. As a group you decide that maybe packing up and taking off is the best idea. So they head out through the back door, and into the woods.

Once in the safety of the night and the forest it’s decided to set up a perimeter around the town to see if we can get a better idea of what’s going on in the town. Rittle sends his ferret down into the town to see what’s going on. It takes about half an hour for the ferret comes back and tells them that people were there, they were angry and that there were three of them.

As the party is talking huge leathered hands grab the back of Davians neck and throw him into a tree. The rest of the party sees this and runs to aid Davian.

You’re like children the dark voice growls, your loud trouncing around like infants. I could have been anyone, you’re lucky I’ve bee tracking you, hiding your tracks from them. Tawnia speaks unseen from the shadows, “Ozdin, that entrance was not warranted.” “Fucking bitch”, he replies. She emerges with a rock in her hand; He asks her, “What are you going to do with that little one?”

“Just making sure your playing fair with my boys.”

Ozdins released Davain from the tree hold and as a group you head deeper into the woods. As soon as Rittle is given the chance, he starts interrogating Ozdin about his sexual malpractices and about Rowko. He tells them about how the dragon blooded make tours through his town about twice every year looking for exalted and other people of value. And on this particular day he was instructing the DB to not come back ever again, which led to an argument, which lead to a fight. Rowko, not wanting to see bloodshed cam to break up the fight but was accidentally killed in the process. He’s not sure why the town never told Lynnette the truth, but that’s all he is able tell you.

Ozdin believes that now that the stablekeep has betrayed him to DB because of your arrival. The DB have marked the town as a Solar town and will probaly makeing a permant settlement if an example isnt made. So it comes down to Ozdins wanting your group to kill the DB and help removed the problem that they’re created, while Tawnia wants to leave this town and this problem behind. Either way your party needs to find a way of escape and where exactly are you going to be escaping to?

From the Feb 7th game there was 5 exp awarded to those who played last time

So for the conclusion of the epic battle of wolf vs. Sai…

Sai asses his situation and rather than doing his instinctual running the fuck away he swings his staff and he gouges the wolfs eye out. The wounded beast screams out in pain striking fear into the heart of his only surviving companion and they flee in to the night. Immediately the party works together to help mend their wounded friend.

After words, the boys sleep while Tawnia watches. In the morning the party decided to head to a nearby village for some medical supplies. This nearby town ends up being a day and a half march down a backwater trail, which brought them to Thorpsvile.

They roll into to town around dinner time when everyone is headed home. They see seven houses along 3 blocks. One is quite large and attached to a larger building which is the general store. There is a stable on the south end of town and a like any good town they have a tavern (more like a B&B with its own brewery)

After checking to see the general store is open, which it wasn’t, the circle heads to the tavern… but discuss how much of a wimp Sai may or may not be before doing so… In the tavern they find a shotty restaurant, with some locals unaccustomed to strangers. The barkeep starts a conversation with the reluctant circle where Tawnia tells him that they are headed to Great forks and about a tiny bit of trouble that they may have encountered with some wolves. The barkeep empathises and puts them up for the night, and tells them that they can see Jo, the grocer, tomorrow at the general store for some medical supplies. After some spirits and a warm meal, some of the party engage in conversations with some of the locals. Davain inquires to the barkeep about the wylde hunt, which reviles that there’s some hostility towards the dragon blooded. The locals can be heard discussing poor crops, like unusually poor crops, and they seem seriously upset about it.

As the night progresses and Rittle gets more and more hammered and his balls get bigger and bigger he “stumbles” over and asked them what the deal with the crops? Where he is curly met with a delightful story about the old woman who lives outside of town who is a witch, whom has cursed their crops. The trouble started when the she came into town with the body of her dead son and started accusing them of abandonment, betrayal and treachery. Insane with grief she screamed at curse on them, that all life there will end, all will wither and die, and every moment of it will be felt. Rittle, with liquid courage driving him, promises to save the (laughing) framers from this alleged curse and “set the town free”. However the farmers think that this young wanne-be hero is wasting his time, since a local hunter named Ozdin couldn’t do anything about the old woman. Meanwhile everyone else is quite and watches the show.

The barkeep provides 4 rooms and Tawnia retires for the evening, while the boys discuss if they can actually back up Rittles wild promises. It’s decided that they’re going to try.

In the morning, after Davians morning downward facing dog yoga and naked stretching, and trying to coax Tawnia out of the bathroom, he grabs breakfast

Rittle wakes up to a killer hangover and a promise that he need to keep.

Sai and Wiliam go to the general store. They find a crude but well cared for essential items store that has a little bit of everything, but no hats. They find some basic trauma care stuff but nothing medicine wise. The innkeeper, Jo, greets them and they discuss the prior night’s antics. And they come up with an arrangement for payment of goods. William gets himself a small glass jug, with a cork stopper and Sai gets a few bundles of mock trauma kits. After they return to the inn and clean up eat and discuss what to do next.

They decide that holding Rittle to his drunken promises is a good thing.

Every one shops around and talks to the locals, kills time and what not. Despite Rittle having a massive hang over, he notices that there are some inconsistencies in the ethnicity of the town, but he doesn’t get much farther than assuming he knew what he’s talking about and being shot down. Atleast until he asks Tawnia. The fact that he still smell like vomit might have something to do with people not wanting to talk to him. But they find out that Ozdin will be returning in about a week.

So the circle kills most of the morning shopping, talking, and generally wasting time and what not, but around lunch time they head south east to find the old crone… with a pack mule.

They walk along the path they were told about, it kind of follows a stream but its not a stream based path. The further they walk the deeper and darker the forest around them gets. Around dinner time they begin to notice that the forest around them seems less random and a lot more conform. Eventually they stop and camp for the night without event.

The morning commences with some nekid stretching and breakfast. And with nekid stretching almost making its way into the stream its deduced that maybe what’s causing the trouble in the town might transmitted via the stream. They keep walking and the trees are getting bigger and bigger and the ground they’re walking on is becoming less dirt and more roots. As they keep walking the trees keep changing and growing, and by growing they are growing together…This is where the party starts questioning what the fuck they’re doing this but it’s decided that they’ve already started so they might as well keep going. How noble. ..

Eventually as the walk the gaps between the trees begin filling in with shrubs. And slowly the shrubs go from being step-over-able to being taller and taller. Slowly it starts forming columns, which guide you guys down a specific path, or a corridor to be more specific. Sai, believing in safety after the “wolf” incident believes in looking before he leaps and begins checking every corner before letting the party continue. Inspired by his companion, William too checks around the corners to be sure of their safety. Then, they spot a shadow, a “fishy shadow”, being a true exalted he musters his bravery and sneaks over to get a better look of what this shadow was up to. That shadow had no idea he was there…

So they continue on, and they come on to another corner, and another corner…and another corner. After having to backtrack a time or two they party decides to try leaping on to the hedges to concur the maze that they’ve become lost in. Davian leaps to the top of the hedge and spots chimney smoke to the east. Then promptly sinks inside. Before being able to warn Sai from getting on top the hedge he begins sinking in too. As they struggle to free themselves the branches grip onto them pulling them tighter and deeper inside. They decided to lie still while William and Rittle slowly hack them out of the hedge. It’s a slow and tedious process but they manage to free their friends.

The party continues walking through the maze, rather than hacking and slashing through it, smelling their way through the maze towards the smoke. And after the sun has begun to set they come to an opening where they see a house.

This house is a well build home, made of stone and mortar. Its built… like a rock… (hehehe). The circle pauses before going to the house, deciding if setting up a tent in her front yard is a good idea, or maybe the old crone is maybe a misunderstood old lady, who just wants to feed you all cookies?

Right around this point my iPod battery dies so I’m going from memory now.

Rittle eventually ballsed up and knocked on the door and started talking to the old woman…she was not receptive, and the good cop-bad cop routine between Sai and Rittle did not seem to be doing much besides causing the fire inside the old woman’s house to ebb and flow as a reflection of her emotions. The dialog reviled that she blamed the town of thorpsvile and Ozdin – the bear- for the death of her son.

What did they do to her son? What’s Ozdins involvement in all this and just what’s the deal with all those kids anyways? Do our heroes even care, or are they just waiting for another chance to do group nekid stretching?


This is great! We’re all on here so now I have to get my ass in gear and get the game summary up and everything else up too, my goal is to have last game done by monday morning and you all have permission to whine and complain if its not done by then. cheers! -Chels

Getting the idea...
first game

So , I haven’t blogged in quite some time so this might be a bit rough at first. What I’d like to see my self do with this is a fairly detailed account of what happened in the game. whether or not that happened remains to be seen but its my goal.

This time around we had out intro/prelude game where we introduced the character to one another, kind of abruptly since they were all thrown into an interment camp together, and proceeded to do what they were told for 3 weeks-ish until some big awesome peoples, with huge glowy white light showed up and kick the ever living shit out of some dragon blooded. And when I say kicked the ever living shit, I do mean just that. This was an event that will make the pages of history. The leader of this attack was Kūnjī, a now legendary exalted who channeled her anima, a phoenix, into an attacking force so powerful in its self that it brought down the walls on a strong hold with willpower alone. However, she was last seen entering the remains of this strong hold. To what ends; no one is sure, but no one seen her come out. With that battle finished our heroes were escorted to a makeshift base camp where they were feed and clothed and rested, and generally over all recovered. They were giving basic knowledge as to who they were now that they’ve had their “second breath”, their life as an Exalted of gods has begun. This is also where our heroes made a formal introductions so several figures of note, Tawnia, Shoson, Ronin, and Venetia. (See the wiki for a further explanation of what you know about them ( ie details to follow soon)). these people, among some other were the ones to meet in the hut and discuss what was going to happen next for the newly rescued people. The general consensus was that each leader would be given circles of young ones that they needed to train and make battle ready. You have been “assigned” to Tawnia. She’s made it clear that she is not impressed to have been given such a duty. After a recovery our young heroes venture out on their own. they’ve successful camped out for almost a week slowly honing the different charms that the gods have graced them with. But this night finds them surrounds by some pretty beefy wolves, will they survive another night? We’ll find out soon.
